“VELVET SOUL did a fabulous job at our Hospital Foundation’s Annual Gala. They are a very talented group of individuals and made every effort to work with us and play the music our audience wanted to hear. They were extremely professional, very flexible, and I heard very positive comments about the band!”

Our influences include Led Zeppelin; Pink Floyd; Bob Dylan; Burt Bacharach; David Sanborn; Johnny Cash; Eric Clapton; Don Henley; The Beatles, Steve Winwood and OTHERS!
Paul's vocal talent sounds like one shot of Don Henley mixed with one shot of Eric Clapton and a splash of Bob Seger on the rocks. When the throat gives out, it's a BAD double shot mix of Joe Cocker and Rod Stewart straight up; John Mellencamp makes a good chaser; NOT GOOD!
Music is my strongest spiritual connection. I enjoy writing music that touches on the different emotions we experience in this life (good, bad, ups, downs, smiles and tears, etc.).
I'm very much in love with my wife Tracy. To me, she's the most beautiful woman I could ever be with. She's the inspiration behind the song "Deep Down Inside".
I'm the proud Father of 3 Sons: James, Joshua and Justin. I don't know why God allowed me to be the fortunate one chosen to be their Dad; but I'm so thankful, humbled and glad He did.
Scott has a love for all aspects and styles of music. He cut his rock-n-roll teeth for years as a bassist in several rock bands and spent time as a guitarist in a R&B/Neo-Soul band prior to Velvet Soul. Having a passion for rhythm, he is proud to be part of the Velvet Soul team as their percussionist.
Scott has a personality that helps warm the crowd. The audience really likes it when he shares his vocal talent...he's an excellent singer! He is blessed to be married to his beautiful wife, Paulette. Together they have 3 wonderful children: Rebekah, Benjamin, and Jonah.
Music is one of Tom's many blessings, and playing rock-and-roll is certainly one of his passions. He has been playing bass guitar since the age of 14, with long stints in several working bands.
When the call went out for a bass player for Velvet Soul, the time was right for him to lend his God-given talents of rhythm and harmony to one of northern Kentucky's premier cover bands.
His good fortune has allowed him to share the stage with many local, regional, and national touring acts over the years and thus meet many talented, kind, and giving people in the music business - including his band mates in Velvet Soul. One of Tom's favorite quotes is, "Long live rock and roll, and remember...In the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make."
Steve is very proud to be a part of Velvet Soul. He plays the keys and he is also very smooth with bass guitar.
Steve started studying the keys when he was a teenager. He has played and led worship in several of the local churches in the Northern KY area where he resides. Steve also does video production for the band.
He has a son, Nick, and a daughter, Kayla; and they are his biggest blessings along with his 2 grandchildren, Emma and Lili.
Did someone say, “Unique?”
Dennis is the sound tech and detailed ear behind the sound of Velvet Soul. Everyone needs a little “heavy, alternative, funk, and punk” at times in their lives and Dennis “DR. D” definitely lends his gifts, talents, and beautiful color to the band.
Dennis is the proud father of Zach and Jayden, and his wife Shellie is a great supporter and cheerleader for the band.
